BluePearl Specialty + Emergency Pet Hospital is hiring an experienced Overnight Emergency Veterinary Technician to join our team in Scottsdale, AZ!

As an Overnight Emergency Veterinary Technician: You will be able to calculate basic medical math.
You compassionately, calmly, and gently approach and handle patients.
You will understand the classification of commonly used medications, associated side effects and appropriately monitors therapeutic response.
You will administer medications via appropriate routes and duration.
You will perform phlebotomy.
You will have the ability to place a peripheral intravenous catheter in the cephalic vein.
You will alert Veterinarian if the patient's status changes and/or physical exam or monitoring parameters are outside of normal ranges.
You will perform physical exams; accurately count heart, pulse rate, capillary refill time, mucous membranes, temperature, respiratory rate, and effort.
You will intubate patients under the direction of a Level II technician or higher.
You support Veterinarian and client through the euthanasia process.
You can read and follow orders written on the treatment sheet accurately and promptly.

Non-Credentialed, full-time Paraprofessionals are eligible for an annual CE stipend of $150.
Full-time CVT associates also receive 8 hours of CE paid hours each year.
Full-time VTS associates receive 12 hours of CE paid each year.
Paid CE hours can be carried over year to year up to a maximum of 24 hours.
Newly hired associates will receive a pro-rated amount of any CE benefit for which they are eligible.
