Practice for this role

About the role

Develop and deliver personalized, evidence-based nutrition care plans for older adults via a telehealth platform. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to shape clinical protocols and the overall patient journey for longevity medicine.

Help us build the future of healthy aging Total Life is a national telehealth platform built for older adults.

Today, we deliver behavioral health care to Medicare beneficiaries across 49 states through a network of 200+ credentialed providers.

We were founded on a simple, personal belief: that the people who spent their lives caring for everyone else deserve care that actually meets them where they are.

We're now expanding into preventative, lifestyle, and longevity medicine — and nutrition is at the heart of it.

We're hiring Registered Dietitians to help us build and deliver this care.

This is a ground-floor role.

You won't be slotting into an existing clinic; you'll help shape one — the protocols, the patient journey, and the standard of care for online nutrition support for older adults.

What you'll do Partner with older adults to assess nutritional needs and build personalized, evidence-based nutrition care plans Deliver medical nutrition therapy and coaching grounded in lifestyle medicine — with a whole-food, predominantly plant-based emphasis, adapted to each patient's health, culture, and preferences Support patients managing chronic conditions where nutrition is central (e.g., diabetes, cardiovascular and renal health, weight and metabolic health) Anchor your work in the 4 M's of Age-Friendly care — What Matters, Medication, Mentation, and Mobility — so every plan reflects what's most important to the patient Collaborate with our broader care team — lifestyle/longevity NPs, behavioral health, and primary care coordination — to support the whole person Help shape the clinical model itself: protocols, intake, outcome measures, and the patient experience Who you are A Registered Dietitian (RD) or Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN), credentialed by the Commission on Dietetic Registration, in good standing (required — this credential is necessary to provide and bill for medical nutrition therapy under Medicare) Active state licensure/certification where required to practice Experienced with, and energized by, caring for older adults A natural coach: warm, motivating, and skilled at helping people make changes that last Comfortable practicing via telehealth and excited by the pace of building something new Mission-driven, collaborative, and ready to be a key voice on our clinical team The model 1099, part-time contractor — fits alongside existing work Soft commitment starting around 10 hours/week, with room to grow as the patient panel builds We manage credentialing, scheduling, and billing — including insurance collection risk, which is ours, not yours Patients are primarily Medicare beneficiaries; 21+ population Why this role is different Your fingerprints will be on the entire nutrition model — protocols, standards, patient experience You'll have time to actually care — relationships and outcomes, not rushed visits You'll work with a team that's already delivered outcomes for older adults at national scale 100% remote, with the flexibility of a telehealth-native company At Total Life, we bring the calm of a clear plan to a stage of life that too often feels overwhelming.

How To Apply

Apply through Workable with your CV and a short note on why nutrition for older adults matters to you. Total Life is an equal opportunity employer. We celebrate diversity and are committed to building a clinical team that reflects the patients we serve.

Requirements

Must be a Registered Dietitian (RD/RDN) credentialed by the Commission on Dietetic Registration with active state licensure. Requires experience caring for older adults and comfort practicing in a remote, fast-paced environment.
