Position Summary

The Native American community clinic - Dental is looking for a Dental Hygienist to join our team. We are looking for someone that is competent and compassionate, with a high EQ to treat and teach the community we serve. At The Native American community clinic, we provide holistic care to our patient base, which includes oral care, medical services, behavior health, IOP and traditional healing!

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform dental cleanings including removal of plaque, calculus, and stains from teeth
  • Deliver high-quality standard of care through preventive treatments, diagnostics, and evidence-based protocols
  • Take and develop dental x-rays as needed
  • Apply preventive materials such as sealants and fluoride
  • Conduct oral health assessments and document patient conditions
  • Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and preventive care
  • Review and update patient health histories
  • Assist dentists during examinations and treatments as required
  • Maintain infection control and sterilization protocols
  • Ensure accurate charting and documentation in dental records

Qualifications

  • Associate or Bachelor's degree in Dental Hygiene from an accredited program
  • Current state license to practice as a Dental Hygienist
  • Certification in local anesthesia and nitrous oxide (where applicable)
  • CPR/BLS certification
  • Knowledge of HIPAA and OSHA regulations
  • Strong communication and patient care skills
  • Attention to detail and manual dexterity
  • EPIC OCHIN WISDOM knowledge a plus

Requirements

Requires an Associate or Bachelor's degree in Dental Hygiene and a current state license to practice. Must hold CPR/BLS certification and have knowledge of HIPAA and OSHA regulations.
