Responsible for providing safe and effective acute patient care in the Operating Room from admission to discharge. Duties include synthesizing patient information, implementing treatment plans, and collaborating with the healthcare team.
Overview Primarily responsible for providing acute patient care to patients in a safe and effective manner in the Operating Room from admission to discharge.
Additional responsibilities include directing the unlicensed employee’s activity, synthesizing patient information, assessment of patient’s, planning of care/intervention, teaching of patients/family, implementation of treatment plan/MD orders, and documentation and evaluation of patient care.
Examples of duties include: Collaboration with healthcare team, patient and family to coordinate patient care delivery.
Participation in ongoing feedback related to self, individual unit, and organizational performance improvement.
Integration of patient care standards and protocols into personal practice and assisting other RNs/UAPs.
Completion of patient care assignments and documentation, asking for and offering assistance as appropriate and delegating as appropriate.

Education/Training/Experience Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing; BSN preferred. One year acute care experience in Surgical Services required. In lieu of this experience, consideration will be made for staff with strong education and associated experiential background. Licenses/Certifications Current CA RN license Current BLS-HCP Current CNOR preferred
Requires a graduate degree from an accredited RN school and a current CA RN license. One year of acute care experience in Surgical Services is required, along with BLS-HCP certification.
