About the role

Perform clinical tasks including collecting vital signs, administering medications, and conducting basic laboratory tests. Handle administrative duties such as scheduling appointments, obtaining authorizations, and maintaining medical records.

  • Hours: Monday through Friday, varying daylight hours. ConvenientCare may require weekends and/or holidays.

Rooms patients, collects vital signs, review patient medication list and patient medical/social history, collects specimens and performs basic laboratory tests, administers injections and medications as directed by provider in addition to other clinical tasks. Administrative duties include ordering supplies, updating/maintaining medical records, obtaining referrals/authorizations and scheduling appointments.

  • Required
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Current Medical Assistant certification (e.g., AAMA CMA, AMT RMA, NHA CCMA, NCCT NCMA, or NAHP NRCMA)
  • Current CPR certification
  • Proficiency in computer applications relevant to clinical practice
  • Minimum of 2–3 years of recent experience in a primary care physician office setting
  • Demonstrated proficiency in venipuncture
  • Ability to travel within the assigned territory
  • Flexibility and adaptability to work in varying office settings with minimal notice
  • Successful completion of applicable clearances as outlined in Human Resources policy HR-106 within 90 days of commencing employment.
  • Preferred
  • Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant diploma or degree program
  • Pediatrics experience strongly preferred

Requirements

Requires a high school diploma, current Medical Assistant and CPR certifications, and 2-3 years of primary care experience. Must be proficient in venipuncture and able to travel between various office locations.
