HV Pediatrics Chippewa; will work in other HVP locations as needed for staffing (Chippewa/Hopewell/Center-Monaca).
Regular office hours Mon-Fri 8-5p; Sat 8-1pm and evenings 10-7pm (both scheduled on rotation).
Collects vital signs and patient history, collects specimens and performs basic laboratory tests, administers injections and medications as directed by provider in addition to other clinical tasks. Administrative duties include ordering supplies, updating/maintaining medical records, obtaining referrals/authorizations and scheduling appointments.
High School graduate or equivalent. Medical Assistant Certification (i.e., AAMA CMA, AMT RMA, NHA CCMA, NCCT NCMA, or NAHP NRCMA), CPR Certification, Computer experience, Successful completion of applicable clearances as outlined in Human Resources policy HR-106 within 90 days of commencing employment.
Medical Assistant diploma or degree program. Minimum of one year medical assisting experience.
Requires a high school diploma and a recognized Medical Assistant certification along with CPR certification. A diploma or degree in medical assisting and at least one year of experience are preferred.
