The MRI technologist performs imaging services in accordance with accepted standards of practice. They are responsible for responding to patient needs and collaborating with radiologists to provide quality care.
Under the direction of the Manager and in association with the radiologists, the MRI technologist conducts themselves in a professional manner, responding to patient needs and supporting their colleagues and associates in providing quality patient care. The technologist performs services in accordance to an accepted standard of practice. The MRI technologist must be able to work independently in that department.
Candidates must be graduates of an accredited MRI or radiology school and hold BLS certification. ARRT(MR) or ARMRIT certification is required, with specific timelines based on Florida licensure status.
