Rootstown Veterinary Hospital is a high-quality, privately owned, three-doctor small animal practice seeking a compassionate and motivated Registered Veterinary Technician with a surgical focus to join our team.

As an RVT at Rootstown Vet Hospital, you'll work closely with our veterinarians and fellow team members, utilizing your technical skills in a wide variety of cases. From routine wellness care to surgery, dentistry, diagnostics, and emergencies, every day offers new opportunities to make a difference.
Your Role in the Hospital As an RVT, you will work alongside our team, taking ownership of appointment and surgical flow, patient safety, and supporting our Doctors.
Assist veterinarians with examinations, treatments, and procedures Monitor anesthesia and assist with surgical and dental procedures Collect and process laboratory samples Perform radiology and diagnostic imaging Administer medications and treatments as directed Hospitalize and monitor patients Educate clients on medications, treatments, and preventive care Maintain accurate medical records Prepare and maintain equipment and treatment areas Work collaboratively to provide exceptional patient and client care
Who You Are You hold an active RVT license in the state of Ohio.
Associate degree in Veterinary Technology.
You have a strong clinical background comfortable in veterinary anesthesia and surgical care.
You are organized, attentive to detail, and calm under pressure.
Excellent communication and client education skills.
Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Dependable, positive, and team-oriented attitude.
You bring a positive, collaborative energy to the team and care deeply about maintaining high standards of medical care.
30 - 34 hours per week, with rotating Saturdays. No late nights or emergency hours.
Competitive hourly wage, within the $21 - $24 range, scaled to reflect your experience.
