Multi-modality Rad Tech

As a Radiology Tech Multi-modality, you will operate our advanced scanning equipment to capture high-quality diagnostic images. Your commitment to patient care, safety, and technical excellence will be essential in delivering optimal imaging services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately position patients to ensure effective scanning of specific body areas.
  • Conduct regular warm-up sequences on radiological equipment to maintain functionality.
  • Sterilize radiologic equipment thoroughly to ensure patient safety and adhere to hygiene and infection control protocols.
  • Interpret and follow physicians' written scanning instructions accurately.
  • Administer radiocontrast agents to enhance the visibility of internal structures during imaging.
  • Review and evaluate scans to confirm they meet technical quality standards.
  • Clearly explain scanning procedures to patients, offering reassurance and support as needed.
  • Monitor patients during scanning procedures, identifying and responding to any allergic reactions to contrast agents.
  • Maintain inventory of radiologic supplies and report any deficiencies.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum one year of experience in the following modalities: CT, X-ray, MRI, or Ultrasound (US) as verified by ARRT or RDMS certification.
  • At least one year of experience working in a hospital setting.
  • An associate degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, combined with one year of relevant experience and training.
  • Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (RDMS).
  • Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association.
  • Multimodality
  • Technologists must possess certification in two (2) or more modalities: Radiology (X-ray), Computed Tomography (CT), Ultrasound (US), or Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), or have completed an accredited cross-training program.

  • Up-to-date knowledge of the latest industry developments and best practices in radiological technology.

• Potential exposure to body fluids and infectious diseases necessitates strict adherence to infection control protocols.

Requirements

Requires an associate degree and certification from ARRT or RDMS in at least two modalities (X-ray, CT, MRI, or US). Candidates must have at least one year of experience in a hospital setting and a current BLS certification.
