  • Description: The Substance Use Disorder Treatment Therapist will be seeing clients who struggle with substance use disorder to assist them in recovery from substance abuse and co-occurring disorders through counseling, education, role modeling, and empathetic support.
  • What you will be doing: Plan, manage, and direct client caseload as well as individual treatment of clients. Provide clinical documentation, which is accurate, timely, and in accordance with all regulatory standards. Maintain clinical records to comply with all applicable standards. Provide Crisis Intervention and Resolution services as needed. Provide consultation to individuals and groups regarding substance use disorders and mental health treatment. Know and follow established program policies and procedures. Exhibit a proper attitude and work ethic as established by Program Director and Center standards. Meet productivity standards as defined by the Center. Complete other duties as assigned.
  • QualificationsWhat we are looking for: Master’s degree in counseling, psychology, or a related field with an internship/practicum Ability to perform group instruction and activities Good organizational and documentation skills Ability to communicate effectively with clients and referral sources Proficient writing skills DSM V knowledge Knowledge of community agencies Experience preferred working with the seriously mentally ill Effective planning skills Knowledge of various clinical interventions to treat substance use disorders and mental illness

Requirements

Requires a Master's degree in counseling, psychology, or a related field including an internship or practicum. Candidates should possess knowledge of DSM V, clinical interventions for mental illness, and experience with seriously mentally ill populations.
