Perform patient care activities including obtaining vital signs, EKGs, and point of care testing under provider direction. Responsible for preparing exam rooms, administering medications, and documenting patient data in the EMR.

The MA/LPN performs various patient care activities and related services in caring for the needs and comfort of patients under the direction of the physician or mid-level provider.
Duties include (but are not limited to) obtaining basic assessment information including vital signs, EKG’s, and point of care testing, advocating for patients, administering prescribed medications, preparing exam rooms, procedure room, and assisting providers.
Documenting in the EMR according to TSMH policy and procedures.

High school diploma or equivalency (GED) required. Completion of an accredited medical assisting program or nursing program preferred.
National or state certification required for CMA's.
Or current WA State LPN license.
Current American Heart Association BLS/CPR, certification card on hire or within orientation period.
• Minimum of one year of experience in a physician office, hospital or ambulatory care facility.

Requires a high school diploma and at least one year of experience in a physician office or ambulatory care facility. Must hold a current WA State LPN license or CMA certification, along with AHA BLS/CPR certification.
