Mount Laurel Animal Hospital is seeking passionate and motivated veterinarians to join our Emergency-Focused Internship Program. Unlike a traditional rotating internship, this program is specifically designed to provide hands-on clinical experience, individualized mentorship, and professional growth opportunities. Duration: 13 months
Objective: To develop well-rounded, confident emergency veterinarians through comprehensive clinical exposure and mentorship
Shift Structure: The schedule is divided evenly among four shift type, daytime ER, overnight ER, hospitalist, and specialty block
Hours: Three consecutive 12-hour shifts per week, with an additional surgery day during hospitalist and daytime ER rotations (average 42 hours/week)
Active participation in ER departmental meetings, Fellow Rounds, lectures, journal clubs, and Morbidity & Mortality rounds
Mentorship: One-on-one mentorship on every case, with interns maintaining primary case responsibility
Species Exposure: Interns manage canine, feline, and exotic emergency cases Educational Components:

Intern-led annual case discussions
Specialty blocks providing hands-on exposure to internal medicine, surgery, radiology, neurology, and other areas of interest
