The Medical Assistant provides compassionate patient care and manages clinical efficiencies, including EMR documentation and patient work-ups. They are responsible for acquiring accurate clinical information for the medical team in a high-volume environment.

Job Title – Position Description: Medical Assistant

Reports to: Clinic Manager

MISSION

The Medical Assistant is responsible for creating an exceptional patient experience while providing competent and compassionate care to every patient. The Medical Assistant role is fluid and versatile with progressively increasing responsibilities including helping direct efficiencies and maintaining high standards for EMR documentation.

Education

• High School Diploma or GED

Previous Job Relevant Work Experience

  • 1+ years of clinical experience
  • Knowledge of Electronic Medical Record (EMR)

Preferred Qualifications

Previous, Job Relevant Work Experience

  • 2+ years of experience in clinical field/setting
  • Experience in a high-volume clinical setting
  • Experience with invasive procedures
  • Experience with catheterization, IV starts, and/or administration/care of chemotherapeutic treatments
  • Knowledge of Eclinical Works (eCW) and Radix
  • Knowledge of urology experience

Requirements

Candidates must have a High School Diploma or GED and at least one year of clinical experience with EMR knowledge. Preferred qualifications include two or more years of experience, specifically in urology and invasive procedures like IV starts and catheterization.
