Position Introduction

The laboratory of Dr.

Paterno is seeking a Staff Research Assistant to join our dynamic neuroscience research team within the Department of Neurosurgery.

The Paterno Lab investigates the neural circuits underlying learning, memory, and other behaviors, with a particular focus on hippocampal function.

The successful candidate will employ behavioral techniques in rodent models to study cognitive processes relevant to neurodevelopmental and neurological disorders.

In addition, the candidate will perform a variety of fundamental neuroscience procedures and laboratory techniques essential to neurobiology research.

This position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge research while gaining hands-on experience in behavioral neuroscience and neural circuit analysis.

Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in a Biological Science, Chemistry, Physics, Psychology, Sociology, or other health related field.
  • No experience required.

Equivalency/Substitution

Will accept 48 months equivalent experience in lieu of the Bachelor's Degree.
