Responsible for drug distribution, chemotherapy order processing, and medication therapy management for oncology and hematology patients. The role involves conducting clinical reviews, supporting cancer clinical trials, and precepting pharmacy residents.
The oncology infusion pharmacist is responsible for drug distribution, drug therapy monitoring, patient education, chemotherapy order processing, product verification, precepting learners/residents, participating in research projects, leading and participating in quality improvement initiatives, and providing integrated care and medication therapy management services to patients receiving treatment. This individual will also conduct comprehensive patient clinical reviews, assist with clinical consults, and support the medication use process for patients on investigational therapies/cancer clinical trials. This individual will develop and maintain strong relationships with pharmacy staff, medical oncology staff, and Mayo Clinic staff and patients.
This position will be based in Rochester.
