Work Shift

Job Description

Performs a variety of routine and specialized diagnostic medical lab tests as requested by healthcare staff according to established protocols and procedures.

Prepares specimens for microscopic examination or testing procedures.

Operates automated laboratory instrumentation and equipment.

Performs quality control and assurance procedures.

Records lab results in specified system.

Follows all required HIPAA privacy, safety, and biohazard procedures and standards.

Education

Graduate of an accredited/NAACLS approved program for Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT).

Certification

ASCP, AMT, NCA, or HEW required. Must be certified within 1 year.

Experience

One to two years’ experience working in an accredited laboratory preferred, but will gladly accept new grads!

Must be a graduate of an accredited MLT program with certification from ASCP, AMT, NCA, or HEW. One to two years of experience is preferred, though new graduates are accepted.
