The In-Home Caregiver provides compassionate, non-medical care and support to clients in their homes. This role assists individuals with daily living activities, promotes independence, ensures safety, and enhances overall quality of life. Caregivers work closely with clients, families, and care teams to provide personalized care based on individual needs. Key Responsibilities Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene. Provide companionship and emotional support. Assist with meal planning, preparation, and feeding when necessary. Help clients with mobility, transfers, and ambulation. Perform light housekeeping duties, including laundry, vacuuming, dishwashing, and maintaining a clean living environment. Provide medication reminders as directed by the care plan. Accompany clients to appointments, errands, and social activities. Monitor and report changes in clients’ physical, emotional, or mental condition. Maintain accurate records of services provided and client progress. Follow all safety procedures, company policies, and client care plans. Communicate effectively with clients, family members, supervisors, and healthcare professionals.
High school diploma or GED required. Previous caregiving, home care, healthcare, or related experience preferred. Ability to pass background check and drug screening. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism. Working Conditions Work is performed in clients' homes. May require evening, weekend, holiday, or overnight shifts. May involve standing, walking, bending, lifting, and assisting clients with mobility. Exposure to various home environments and conditions.
