The Emergency Veterinary Technician’s primary responsibility is to triage patients as they present to the Emergency Room according to triage levels. Assess pets and provide immediate lifesaving care under the direction of the ER doctor as required for critical patients. Provides history, vitals, and concerns to doctors to assist in the timely and appropriate management of emergency patients. Works with float technicians and assistants to perform diagnostics, execute a treatment plan and/or hospitalize the patient. Communicate medical updates, financial, and treatment plans to owners.

Candidates must have at least five years of veterinary technician experience and be a Registered Veterinary Technician in Colorado or eligible for registration. A high school diploma and fluency in English are required.
