  • Shift: 1 Day Hybrid - 1 day Remote a { text-decoration: none; color: #464feb; } tr th, tr td { border: 1px solid #e6e6e6; } tr th { background-color: #f5f5f5; } Aurora Mental Health & Recovery (AMHR) is seeking full-time Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to join our dynamic Psychiatric Access Team (PAC), providing both telehealth and in-person care to a diverse community of individuals seeking medication evaluations and ongoing support for psychiatric conditions. In this collaborative, mission-driven environment, you will deliver comprehensive psychiatric assessments, medication management, and evidence-based treatment while working alongside a multidisciplinary team committed to equity, resilience, and whole-person care. This role offers the opportunity to expand your impact through teaching, mentorship, and preceptorship of students and early-career professionals, as well as supplemental opportunities such as supporting Crisis Stabilization Unit patients. We are looking for experienced, Colorado-licensed psychiatric prescribers who are passionate about serving adults with mental illness, thrive in team-based settings, and are dedicated to continuous learning and professional growth. Salary for this role. Salary is based on 1.0 FTE (full time equivalent) or 40 hours per week. Fewer than 40 hours/week will be prorated and adjusted to the appropriate FTE. Salary is also based on years of licensure and company equity. Annually, $122,595.20 - $156,145.60 Bilingual Language Differential Pay. Employees who successfully pass a language assessment are eligible to receive bilingual differential pay. This differential is provided as a fixed amount of $3,000 per calendar year, paid on a bi‑weekly basis across 26 pay periods, and prorated based on hire date and full‑time equivalency (FTE). Eligibility and payment are subject to the language requirements of the position and the employee’s demonstrated proficiency in the language. Schedule. We are a hiring full-time Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners and have flexible schedules including 4-, and 5-day workweeks. We have a hybrid work schedule where you can enjoy working remotely 1 day a week.

  • Functions: Provide direct psychiatric services through the comprehensive evaluation, diagnosis, treatment planning and treatment of patients assigned, on a regular basis. As within the State outlined scope of practice. Assure clinicians in assigned services receive appropriate clinical supervision, as necessary. Work with multidisciplinary staff to evaluate and triage according to level of acuity, as needed. Share 24-hour on call responsibilities with other psychiatrists for residential, outpatient and emergency care, as assigned. Maintain availability by telephone for face-to-face evaluation of emergency patients, as appropriate. Provide utilization review of all patients in continuing care to ensure appropriate medical/psychiatric services are received, as needed. Attend team and other meetings, as necessary. Provide consultation with staff on patient care and difficult cases, as needed. Understand and comply with organizational goals around quality, compliance, standards, and policies. Complete required education and training in a timely manner. Accurately and completely document patient care. Provide information to credentialing, payroll, etc. in a timely manner Monitor and coordinate care for assigned clients in partnership with the other members of the client's care team.
  • QualificationsRequirements: Master's degree in Nursing with Prescriptive Authority. Minimum 2 years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner in Psychiatry.

  • Requirement: Per Colorado BHA regulations, you must hold an active Colorado NP license in good standing before providing any client services. Out-of-state multi-state or compact licenses are not sufficient. Certified as an advanced practitioner of nursing by the Colorado State Board of Nursing. Valid and Current DEA. Current knowledge of pharmacology. Ability to administer medications and injections. Knowledge of diagnoses and theoretical issues related to clinical treatment. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Basic computer skills and ability to learn/utilize electronic health record. Treatment philosophy consistent with managed care principles. Required Vaccination and TB Test. At AMHR the health and safety of our clients and staff are our top priorities. As part of this commitment, all employees are required to receive an annual influenza (flu) shot and present a negative TB test result before their first day of work. Proof of both the flu shot and negative TB test must be provided on your first day of employment. Medical and religious exemptions can be requested if necessary.

Requirements

Requires a Master's degree in Nursing with prescriptive authority and at least 2 years of experience as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner. Must hold an active Colorado NP license, a valid DEA, and current certifications from the Colorado State Board of Nursing.
