Performs general patient care following established clinic workflows. Greets and prepares patients for the health care provider by obtaining and recording vital signs, reviewing drug allergies and current medications, completing applicable screening questionnaires and documenting reasons for visit. Collects and prepares ordered specimens for laboratory analysis. Prepares and provides ordered medications and/or vaccines to patients. Performs other duties within scope of role as assigned. Graduate of a medical assisting program accredited by the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES) or Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education (CAAHEP) Successfully completed Medication Aide 40-hour course or current/valid Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association #kearneyclinic2025
Must be a graduate of an ABHES or CAAHEP accredited medical assisting program. Requires completion of a 40-hour Medication Aide course or a valid BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
