Surgical Technologists are responsible for assisting in nursing care and preparation of surgical patients by performing scrub duties. Provides assistance in emergency procedures as well as elective and scheduled cases. Assists in preparation, transportation, and supervision of patients. Maintains education in surgical operating room and related aspects of patient care.

Hours: Full-time, 40 hours/week
Required: HS Diploma, Associate's degree, LPN, CST, & BLS within 90 days of hire

Applies principles of disinfection and sterilization., Assists with clean up and case turnover., Assumes accountability for verification of operative procedure being performed., Demonstrates knowledge of basic aseptic techniques., Demonstrates knowledge of patient identification., Handles, identifies, and delivers all specimens, cultures, implantable devices, and homografts., Operates and maintains equipment according to recommended manufacturers instructions and policies and procedures., Operates flash sterilizer and Steris sterilizer., Participates in the evaluation of the patient care delivery system., Scrubs all operative procedures performed., Seeks assistance when situation is beyond the ORT/LPN’s knowledge and experience., Takes call as scheduled., Utilizes surgeon preference card and case cart pick list to competently prepare for operative procedures.
