About the Role

SYCAMORE ANIMAL HOSPITAL - AAHA ACCREDITED small animal hospital is looking for a passionate and skilled Veterinary Associate to join our team in Sycamore, IL! This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of animals and their owners while working alongside a dedicated team of animal care professionals. Responsibilities

Perform routine and complex physical examinations on companion animals Diagnose and treat illnesses, injuries, and medical conditions across a variety of species Develop and implement individualized patient treatment plans Administer vaccines, medications, and perform surgical procedures as needed Maintain accurate and thorough medical records using practice management software Educate and communicate with pet owners regarding diagnoses, treatment options, and preventive care Collaborate with veterinarians, veterinary technicians, assistants, and support staff to ensure high-quality patient care

Requirements

Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM or VMD) degree from an accredited institution Active or eligible Illinois veterinary license in good standing DEA registration or ability to obtain one USDA accreditation or ability to obtain one Experience in a clinical veterinary setting preferred Strong diagnostic, surgical, and clinical skills aimed at reducing client cost of ownership Excellent communication and client relations skills Compassionate, team-oriented, and committed to animal welfare Option for Part-Time employment New veterinary graduates welcome with formal mentoring About Us: SYCAMORE ANIMAL HOSPITAL is a full service AAHA-accredited small animal hospital serving the Sycamore-DeKalb, Illinois community and surrounding areas. We have a skilled and dedicated support staff and provide advanced diagnostics including ultrasound and orthopedic surgery. Our clients have access to CT-scans and rehabilitations services at our AHHA-accredited location at The Animal Doctor in Cary, Illinois.
