Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Now Hiring for Full Time and Part Time positions on Days (7am-3:15pm) and Evenings (3pm-11:15pm) Position Overview The Parker Jewish Institute, located in New Hyde Park, NY, is seeking qualified Licensed Practical Nurses to join our Nursing team in our skilled nursing facility.

We want to speak with naturally caring, empathetic LPNs who are focused on providing the best quality of life possible for every patient in their care, with patience, courteousness and tactful interactions with residents, staff, family members and visitors.

LPNs at Parker Jewish Institute are responsible for the coordination and implementation of resident care on assigned units, supervising CNAs and providing outstanding patient-centered care.

About Parker The Parker Jewish Institute for Health Care and Rehabilitation, conveniently located on the Queens-Nassau County border in New Hyde Park, New York, is a non-profit health care facility that offers inpatient programs such as sub-acute/short term rehabilitation, long-term care and nursing home care, as well as community health services encompassing certified home health care and a comprehensive community hospice program that serves terminally ill patients in their own homes or in nursing facilities, including Parker's nursing home.

Flexible schedule with the ability to work weekends and holidays as needed Will be friendly and sociable and be able to provide comfort to patients with good interpersonal skills - both verbal and in writing Team member - with a collaborative, team-based work environment, we are looking for individuals who embrace a high level of care, compassion and teamwork

Requirements

Candidates must hold a current and valid NYS LPN license and be a graduate of an accredited nursing program. Flexibility to work weekends and holidays is required, and experience with geriatric populations is a plus.
