About the role

The Physical Therapist Assistant assists in administering treatment plans under the supervision of a Physical Therapist. This includes monitoring patient responses to therapeutic exercises, gait training, and transfer training.

Expected pay for this position is $27.26 - $32.06/hour.

Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills and internal equity.

This is an Hourly position.

OSF Rehabilitation at St.

Francis Hospital and Medical Group is a hospital-based department that provides therapy services to inpatients and outpatients.

This team consists of a fun and diverse group!

We have therapists and assistants who specialize in a variety of areas including but not limited to: aquatic therapy, orthopedics, pediatrics, LSVT Big (Parkinson’s disease) and other neurological diagnoses, vestibular problems, balance, and concussion management.

Our occupational therapists enjoy seeing patients with orthopedic diagnosis from the shoulder to the hand, neurological diagnosis, lymphedema, pelvic floor dysfunction, and pediatric patients who may have sensory dysfunction, feeding and eating issues and developmental delay.

A clinic focused on evidence-based practice, teamwork and collaboration creates a positive environment for both patients and co-workers.

Overview

Position Summary

The Physical Therapist Assistant, under the general supervision of a Physical Therapist, assists in administering the Physical Therapists' treatment plan. Administers and monitors patient's response to therapeutic exercises, transfer training, gait training, and other treatments in accordance with the physical therapists’ treatment plan.

Preferred Qualifications

Candidates must have an Associate's degree in Physical Therapy and a valid state license as a Physical Therapist Assistant. CPR certification is required within 90 days of hire.
