About the Job

A PT aide at MAO plays a vital role by assisting the physical therapists in a variety of ways that ultimately result in an improved patient experience. Physical therapists will rely on the PT aide to complete pertinent tasks that will allow the PT to focus on patient care and documentation. There is some opportunity for an individual to learn about therapeutic exercise and patient care.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Produce accurate billing reports and deliver them to the billing staff in a timely manner.
  • Enter new patient cases for the upcoming business day into WebPT using information obtained in PDS and Exscribe.
  • Track the successful transfer of PT documentation from WebPT to Exscribe.
  • Fax out PT documentation that requires physician signature, or needs to go to Work Comp adjustors.
  • Keep up with laundry (towels, pillow cases, patient gowns, etc) used during patient treatment.
  • Assist the PTs in cleaning treatment tables and straightening up the PT gym during the transition from one patient to another.
  • Field phone calls from patients, adjustors, physician offices, other PT clinics in a professional manner.

Skills and Qualifications

  • High School Diploma
  • Prefer experience in a medical setting
  • Prefer an interest in physical therapy or the medical field

Requirements

A high school diploma is required for this position. Experience in a medical setting and an interest in physical therapy are preferred.
