The Restorative Nurse Aide, in collaboration with a licensed nurse and rehabilitation therapy, delivers restorative nursing care to prevent decline and to attain maximum functionality. Position Highlights *Maintain accurate restorative nursing progress documentation records on all patients participating in the restorative program. *Participate in the patient care planning process. *Train other direct care staff in restorative techniques, equipment, and the application of splints, braces, prosthetic appliances, and self-help devices to assure proper application and usage. *Notify nursing and/or rehabilitation therapy of patients who may be experiencing a change in their level of functioning.
*Successful completion of a state approved certified nursing assistant program is required. *Two years' experience as a Certified Nursing Assistant. *Knowledge of restorative nursing philosophy and procedures is required. *Must attend a minimum of 12 hours continuing education programs provided by the nursing center in order to maintain certification.
