Sentara Martha Jefferson Hospital is hiring a Certified Surgical Technologist I or II for the Main OR in Charlottesville, VA. This is a full time, Day shift from 7AM to 5PM with required call.
6 to 7 shifts per 6-week schedule.

Performing an average of 7,000 cases each year, the Operating Room at SMJH has 8 OR suites and offers a variety of service lines including; Complex GYN, Neurosurgery, Vascular/Thoracic and Orthopedic surgery. It is also the 2nd highest-performing OR in the Sentara system for Orthopedic total joint procedures.
Certification/Licensure
Licensed Surgical Technologist – Virginia (Required)
One of the following Certifications Required: Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) - Certifications - National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) OR Tech in Surgery TS-C - Certification - National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT)
Basic Life Support (BLS) - Certification - American Heart Association (AHA) Required.
Experience
Operating room experience (preferred)
Strong understanding of surgical procedures, sterile techniques, and patient safety protocols.
Strong communication skills with providers and surgical staff required.
