About the role

Provide consultative and rehabilitative treatment services to complex patients across multiple acute care hospital settings. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop evidence-based treatment and discharge plans to maximize functional outcomes.

Work Schedule

100% FTE, 40 hours/week.

Shifts scheduled

Monday through

Friday between the hours of 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM with weekend rotation. Hours may vary based on the operational needs of the department.

Occupational

Therapist (OT) with acute care experience to: Provide consultative and rehabilitative treatment services to complex patients admitted to American Family Children’s Hospital, East Madison Hospital, and University Hospital in acute care settings. Work collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team to create comprehensive evidence-based treatment plans to maximize functional outcomes and discharge plans. Work within the context of patient- and family- centered care in a primary and specialty care academic medical center. Seek continual learning opportunities to advance one’s own practice and educate others.

Qualifications

Requirements

Requires a Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy and licensure in the State of Wisconsin. BLS certification is required within 3 months of hire, and 2 years of relevant experience is preferred.
