The SLP is responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating speech, language, cognitive communication, and swallowing disorders in adults. They also provide aural rehabilitation and implement augmentative and alternative communication systems for patients in their homes.

Provides aural rehabilitation for individuals who are deaf or hard of hearing and provides augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) systems for individuals with severe expressive and/or language comprehension disorders. Candidates must hold a current state license to practice speech pathology, a CCC-SLP certification, and a current CPR certification. A postgraduate degree from a CAA-accredited program is required, and one year of experience is preferred.
