Under limited supervisions, Physician agrees to render medical services to patients of the Center in the manner and to the extent permitted by law and applicable rules of professional ethics. Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Participating with other neonatologists in clinical coverage of the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and the Well Baby Nursery, and consultative services for deliveries and prenatal consultation on Labor and Delivery.
Develop and implement policies and procedures to assure the safe, efficient and compassionate care of patients and families, and the smooth transition of neonates into the world outside GBMC.
Develop and implement practice protocols and evaluate their effectiveness by data collection and analysis.
Collecting and analyzing data to document and improve patient outcomes.
Participating in Hospital committees as needed for representation of neonatal issues
Maintaining and developing courteous and professional relationships with the Medical Staff.
Implementing and enforcing the Bylaws of the medical Center and the Bylaws of the Medical Staff as in effect from time to time, including any and all Rules and Regulations, protocols and policies duly promulgated thereunder; all guidelines, requirements, and ethical and professional standards of the American Medical Association and the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations; and all laws, rules, regulations, guidelines, orders and other requirements, all as may apply in any way to activities or the functioning of the Division.
