Provide general cardiology care to patients at OSF St. Mary Medical Center and conduct weekly outreach to rural hospitals and clinics. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver comprehensive prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of heart disease.

Overview

Job Specifics OSF Healthcare’s Cardiovascular Institute, a group of 55+ Cardiologists, is growing and looking to add a General Cardiologist to a practice in Galesburg, IL, at OSF St.

Mary Medical Center.

Join a group of 3 general cardiologist and 2 APPs with the support of the larger CVI group Opportunity to grow this practice into a hub for the region, and care for the sickest patients right in their community.

Collegial Physician group offers EP, Interventional, and Heart Failure outreach in the Galesburg location.

Outreach each week to nearby hospitals and clinics in more rural communities.

The OSF Cardiovascular Service Line, with headquarters in Peoria, IL, works in conjunction with 17 area hospitals and 9 clinics to provide the most comprehensive services available for the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of heart disease.

Delivering our patients special care through CV surgery, MCS, Transplant, Aortic Center, Structural Heart, Advanced HF, Cardio One, Cardio OB, more than 300 STEMI’s a year.

Additional compensation components may be applicable such as bonuses or incentives which may or may not be based on metric achievement.

Qualifications

Required qualifications

Education:

  • Doctorate
  • Licenses/Certifications: Physician Licensed to practice medicine in current state. Board certified or board eligible in the appropriate specialty(ies). Obtain and maintain medical staff membership and appropriate privileges. Must be eligible as a provider for Medicare, Medicaid, and other federal health programs. Physician shall meet all qualifications to participate in OSF's programs for professional malpractice and other liability coverage. Licensed by the Federal Drug Enforcement Administration and the State of Illinois to prescribe narcotics, if applicable.

Requirements

Must hold a Doctorate degree and be a licensed physician board certified or eligible in cardiology. Candidates must be eligible for Medicare/Medicaid and hold necessary DEA and state licenses to prescribe narcotics.
