Responsibilities

Under the supervision of the Site Director, following standardized protocols, provide comprehensive primary care services to patients. Services may include: preventive care, immunizations, primary care and treatment, health education, prescribing of medication, ordering and interpreting lab testing or imaging, order and action referrals based on patient need, physical examinations, screening examinations, family planning, and other services within the scope of training. Essential Job Functions Provide medication and immunization verification to medical assistants Provide primary care and ambulatory outpatient care to clinic patients in person by interviewing, examining, and treating clinic patients; documenting, and completing notes and inbox items while maintaining confidentiality of all patient information according to federal guidelines and regulations Make referrals to physicians as appropriate Collaborate with other members of the health care team to achieve optimal outcomes Assist in resolution of complaints, requests, and inquiries from patients Participate in providing direction or training to clinic staff to increase staff awareness and to facilitate patient care Participate in the development of clinic protocols and procedures to ensure quality medical care; comply with clinic policies and procedures Participate in quality assurance, quality improvement and utilization review; and peer review programs which evaluates the quality of the medical staff and medical services being performed at the clinics Support the vision, mission and goals, and demonstrate a commitment to the values, of the organization Perform other duties as directed

Qualifications

Minimum Masters of Science in Nurse Practitioner Studies Current certificate of completion from a certified Nurse Practitioner program CPR Certification (including BLS Child, Infant, Adult with one-time hands-on skills training) Minimum one year experience in ambulatory care setting Valid California driver’s license and vehicle insurance; reliable transportation, to travel for meetings and/or to gather information for reporting purposes Required Skills/Knowledge/Abilities Knowledge of community health centers, and public assistance programs, state and federal regulations and managed care systems Ability and willingness to abide by organization’s policies related to documentation, workflows and patient care guidelines Meet productivity and quality standards as defined by the organization Excellent verbal and written skills necessary for communication with patients/clients, clinicians and other staff Ability to interface with all levels of personnel in a professional manner, including people of all social, cultural and ethnic backgrounds and within the constraints of government funded programs Ability and willingness to meet the organization’s attendance and dress code policies Ability to handle confidential materials and information in a professional manner Salary $141,440.00 - $147,680.00 - based on a fulltime salary

Requirements

Requires a current unrestricted NP license, DEA certification, and BLS certification. Candidates must have at least one year of experience and proficiency in using EMR systems.
