The practice of speech-language pathology shall include assessment, treatment, planning, implementation, education, communication, and demonstration of techniques addressing speech-language, cognitive, and swallowing disorders to meet the needs of patients and their families with supervisory guidance provided as needed.
Otherwise, a speech-language pathologist shall work independently without direct supervision.

Coursework/Training: Educated or trained in dysphagia assessment and management. 1 year of Acute care and/or inpatient rehabilitation experience. 2 years of Professional experience. Posted are the minimum and the maximum wage rates on the wage range for this position. The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.

Candidates must hold a Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, a Texas state license, and BLS certification. A minimum of 2 years of professional experience and completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year are required.
