Learn more about living in mid-Missouri. DETAILED JOB DESCRIPTION Provide direct care by assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care to an assigned group of patients. Plan, direct, and/or participate in the education of the patient, family, community, and health professionals. Report pertinent observations and reactions regarding patients to the appropriate person (i.e. physicians, head nurse, charge nurse, and/or nursing supervisor) and record those observations accurately and concisely. Maintain the standards of nursing care and implement the policies and procedures of the hospital and assigned nursing department. Participate in meetings, in-services, and quality and performance improvement groups. Participate in nursing research. Provide quality care to patients and work with a multi-disciplinary team to ensure the highest patient satisfaction. May complete unit/department specific duties as outlined in department documents. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Missouri Board of Nursing RN or Nurse Licensure Compact multi-state RN. When primary state of residency changes, compact state RNs must apply under new state of residency within thirty (30) days. One (1) year of RN experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Participation in a professional nursing organization. Additional license/certification requirements as determined by the hiring department. PHYSICAL DEMANDS The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met with or without reasonable accommodation. The performance of these physical demands is an essential function of the job. This position is very active and requires ambulating, reaching, and moving objects weighing up to and over 20 lbs.

Requires a valid Missouri Board of Nursing RN license or a Nurse Licensure Compact multi-state RN license. Candidates must have at least one year of registered nurse experience.
