About the role

Provide high-quality imaging services and administer contrast or radiopharmaceuticals while performing patient assessments. Provide backup supervision for radiology sections and directly supervise students.

Diagnostic X-Ray Tech - Traveler

This individual would provide care to all patients while producing high quality imaging modalities. They would also provide contrast or radiopharmaceutical administration with patient assessment and follow-up information. Demonstrate all necessary skills and knowledge of section computer and /or equipment technology. Provide backup supervision (coordination) and direction to all radiology sections in the absence of a coordinator. Perform duties of a Level II Radiographer/Technologist when requested. Directly supervise students. Maintain certification according to the State, National and Medical Center regulations.

Must be a graduate of a Joint Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT) or regionally accredited and approved School of Radiologic Technology. A four year program is preferred.

Must be registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in more than one modality.

Must be licensed by the State of Florida to operate ionizing and non-ionizing imaging equipment according to MQA, Joint Commission and ALARA standards.

Minimum of 5 years experience in a specific Radiologic technology science or area of specialization required.

Experience with the PACS system preferred.

Previous experience in more than one modality is required.

Requirements

Must be a graduate of a JRCERT or accredited school of radiologic technology and registered by the ARRT in more than one modality. Requires a Florida state license and a minimum of 5 years of experience in a specific radiologic technology specialization.
