Perform initial evaluations and provide treatment for patients within an inpatient rehab team on diagnosis-specific units. Assist with mentoring new staff and participating in occupational therapy student programming.
Will work as part of an inpatient rehab team on diagnosis specific units. Performs initial evaluation and treatment of patients; Responsible to provide patient care for inpatient as well as outpatient coverage if the need arises; Assist Lead Therapist with mentoring and or orientation of new or newly rotated staff; participate in OT student programming; other duties as assigned.
Requirements: Minimum qualifications/Competencies:
Must be licensed and currently registered to practice as an Occupational Therapist in New York AND have one year of post licensure occupational therapy experience. Willing to accept new graduates. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS/COMPETENCIES:
1-2 years of experience with neuro and non neuro patient care. Experience with Meditech documentation as well as Medilinks/Wellsky. Knowledge of inpatient Medicare guidelines for documentation. Ability to work as part of an interdisciplinary team.
