At the Charles Lea Center in Smithfield, NC, we’re looking for compassionate, energetic individuals to join our team as Direct Support Professionals (DSPs)—where every day is an opportunity to support people with disabilities in living full, independent lives.
As a DSP, you’ll work in a residential setting, in the client's home, supporting individuals with disabilities in their daily lives. Your responsibilities may include: Assist with daily living skills, grooming, meals, personal care, and medication administration. Support individuals in activities, community outings, and skill-building. Promoting independence and dignity in every interaction Document daily notes, training steps, and updates in Therap. Communicate important information to supervisors and team members. Follow safety, infection control, and agency policies. Maintain professionalism, teamwork, and positive interactions.
Minimum age: 18 High school diploma or equivalent 2–4 years of relevant experience preferred (DSP, CNA, PCA, RBT, Med Tech, Caregiver) Valid driver’s license and Social Security number Basic computer and documentation skills Ability to pass required background and reference checks
Competitive Pay: $18.03/hour + Shift differential for weekend hours 2nd Shift Sign-On Bonus: $1,250 (paid in two installments) Consistent schedule: 1st and 2nd shift with rotating weekends Paid training and growth opportunities

While this position is assigned to client homes living in our Smithfield, NC locations, All Direct Support Professionals may be required to work at other Charles Lea Center sites as needed based on staffing and operational needs.
