What you'll do

The Outpatient Therapist provides clinical therapeutic services to children, adolescents, and adults with identified mental health needs. This position uses evidence-based interventions, psycho-educational strategies, and client-centered approaches to support emotional wellness and improved functioning.

Your responsibilities may include

  • Clinical services
  • Provide therapeutic interventions designed to enhance client functioning and emotional well-being.
  • Conduct intake assessments with clients and family members using appropriate clinical tools.
  • Continuously assess client needs, available services, and treatment effectiveness.
  • Develop and provide goal-focused interventions using client-centered and family-centered approaches.
  • Documentation & care coordination
  • Maintain accurate and complete clinical records and documentation.
  • Manage all required charting and clerical responsibilities.
  • Verify client insurance coverage to support appropriate billing procedures.
  • Participate in case consultations with the Clinical Director regarding high-risk or challenging cases.
  • Professional responsibilities
  • Provide therapy services that support clients in their homes and communities.
  • Maintain confidentiality and follow all agency policies and procedures.
  • Participate in required trainings and professional development activities.

Qualifications

  • Education Requirements
  • Master's degree in a related mental health field, including:
  • Social Work
  • Counseling
  • Psychology
  • Licensure & Experience
  • Licensed applicants are eligible for an increased hourly rate, including:
  • LMSW
  • LCSW
  • LPC
  • LMFT
  • LAPC
  • Bilingual applicants may also qualify for an increased hourly rate.
  • Additional Requirements
  • Valid Pennsylvania driver's license with a good driving record.
  • Must successfully complete:
  • Criminal Record History Clearance
  • FBI Clearance
  • Child Abuse History Clearance
  • Pre-employment Physical & Drug Screening
  • Ability to attend and successfully complete required trainings.
  • Skills & Competencies
  • Ability to manage emotional situations calmly and professionally.
  • Strong organization and planning skills.
  • Computer skills and knowledge of relevant software.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries.

Requirements

Requires a Master's degree in a related mental health field and the ability to pass criminal, FBI, and child abuse clearances. Candidates must possess a valid PA driver's license and pass a pre-employment physical and drug screening.
