About the role

As a Dermatology Medical Assistant, you will assist in patient care and ensure an efficient workflow within the practice. Responsibilities include preparing patients for examinations, assisting physicians, conducting laboratory tests, and maintaining patient records.

As a Dermatology Medical Assistant in Arden, you will play a vital role in our clinical environment, assisting in patient care and ensuring an efficient workflow within our practice.

Responsibilities

Prepare patients for examinations by obtaining vital signs and detailed medical histories. Assist physicians during examinations and procedures, ensuring that necessary instruments and tools are prepared and available. Conduct basic laboratory tests and manage specimen collection for thorough analysis. Maintain accurate and confidential patient records, adhering to healthcare privacy regulations. Schedule patient appointments and ensure efficient office communication. Educate patients on treatment plans, medication use, and skincare practices. Ensure that examination rooms are clean, organized, and stocked with appropriate medical supplies. High school diploma or equivalent; certification as a Medical Assistant is preferred. Prior experience as a Medical Assistant or in a clinical healthcare setting is preferred. Knowledge of medical terminology, particularly related to dermatology. Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective interactions with patients. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with professionalism. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) and standard office software is a plus. Requirements

A high school diploma or equivalent is required, with certification as a Medical Assistant preferred. Prior experience in a clinical healthcare setting and knowledge of medical terminology related to dermatology are also preferred.
