About the role

Provide high-quality inpatient care as a Hospitalist, managing an average volume of 15-18 patients per day. Responsibilities include managing open ICU patients, performing intubations, and responding to Code Blue emergencies.

Franciscan Physician Network is seeking a PRN Board Eligible/Board Certified Internal Medicine or Family Medicine Hospitalist to join a cohesive team and meet the growing demand of our Hospitalist Program at Franciscan Health Michigan City.

This is a high functioning program with great patient outcomes and high levels of physician satisfaction.

The program is well-respected and there is a healthy relationship with hospital administration.

WHAT WE NEED: Ideal candidate will be an Internal or Family Medicine physician, who wants to be a part of the Franciscan Health Hospitalist Program.

Candidate will have a strong focus on clinical excellence and patient satisfaction.

Physician will display exceptional interpersonal skills and a desire to develop strong ties with the community and build long-lasting relationships with patients and their families.

Physician will need to work collaboratively to coordinate and deliver the highest quality of patient care.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT: Schedule: 7:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.

Traditional PRN Schedule Three APP’s cover in-house nights Average inpatient volume: 15 – 18 patients per day Intubation procedures required Will provide supplemental training if needed ACLS/BCLS required Open ICU Respond to Code Blue’s Strong collegial support from specialists Common Diagnoses: Cancer COPD Diabetes Flu Heart Failure Pneumonia

Requirements

Must be a Board Eligible or Board Certified physician in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine. Required certifications include ACLS and BCLS.
