This is a paid apprenticeship model which is a 16-week program that combines related online education through the ASRT, and on the job learning at Corewell Health.
Completion of this program satisfies the ARRT 16-credit Structured Education Requirements for CT.
After successful completion of all 12 modules of the program, participants will receive 16 CE credits and a document from the ASRT (American Society of Radiologic Technologists) recognizing their achievement.
Program includes requirement for a 1-year commitment as a CT Tech (at a .5 FTE status or higher) with Corewell Health that will begin upon entering a CT Technologist position. You'll be responsible for performing accurate diagnostic CT exams while following regulations and ALARA principles of radiation protection. Required Associate's Degree Graduate of Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT) Accredited Radiography program. 1 year of relevant experience 1-3 years’ experience beyond staff radiographer level. Preferred CRT-Radiologic Technologist Registration - ARRT American Registry of Radiologic Technologist Upon Hire required CRT-Computerized Tomography (CT) - ARDMS American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography Excludes team members hired prior to 2008. 1 Year required CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA American Heart Association Upon Hire required Or CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - ARC American Red Cross Upon Hire required
