About the role

As a Clinical Nurse, you will provide top-notch patient care using the nursing process framework and patient-family-centered care principles. You will work under the direction of the Nurse Leader and be a vital member of the team, making a real difference in patients' lives.

The Intermediate Care Unit is a 25-bed unit caring for a variety of patients.

Our unit falls under the critical care umbrella.

This unit is considered a cardiac unit and the patients are typically monitored on telemetry.

IMC is a fast-paced environment; the acuity of the patients can change rapidly.

The IMC staff works together as a team to provide the patients with the utmost efficient care.

Corewell Health Taylor Hospital Corewell Health Taylor Hospital is a 148-bed, Magnet®-designated hospital that is a recognized health care leader in the metro Detroit area.

Proudly serving Taylor and surrounding communities since 1977, it offers specialty services that include 24-hour emergency care, wound care and hyperbaric oxygen therapy, a surgical pavilion, a pain management clinic, orthopedic surgery, an inpatient rehabilitation facility and full-service radiology, including advanced CT with cardiac scoring, fixed MRI including pacemaker, cinema vision and ultrasound (MSK and elastography).

Scope of Work As a Clinical Nurse with Corewell Health, providing top-notch patient care is paramount.

You'll be responsible for using the nursing process framework and incorporating patient-family-centered care principles to ensure the highest quality of care.

Under the direction of the Nurse Leader, you'll be a vital member of our team, making a real difference in the lives of our patients and their families.

Qualifications

Required Associate's Degree or equivalent Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with an associate’s degree or equivalent. Required Bachelor's Degree B.S.N., or M.S.N, or DNP/PhD - if not minimum BSN prepared, new graduate/nurse with less than one (1) year experience is required to enroll in an accredited BSN program within one (1) year of licensure date and complete within five (5) years, required. This is effective April 18, 2023. Required Graduates from non-accredited school of nursing programs must have at least one year of acute care experience or greater than 2 years of experience in a licensed health care role, such as an LPN or EMT role, etc., and must have successfully passed the NCLEX licensure examination.
