About the role

The MRI Technician is responsible for performing MRI exams and obtaining optimal images while collaborating with physicians on protocols. They must ensure patient safety by reviewing contraindications and maintaining examination rooms.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT Collaborate on patient medical issues with the physician to determine protocol and procedure. Complete all MIR exams and procedures, obtaining optimal images for physician review according to policy and protocol. Obtain and record patient identification, medical history, or test results. Obtain and review all history of ferrous implants and other possible contraindication for scanning in a magnetic field. Perform venous punctures using universal precautions while administering contrast media. Practice established safety guidelines and use mire safety tools and techniques. Assume responsibility for self-development. Clean, maintain, and restock examination and inventory rooms.

Qualifications

Preferred Associate's Degree Preferred Certificate 1 year MRI Experience Preferred Magnetic Resonance Imaging (ARRT-MR) - . Requirements

Candidates should ideally possess an Associate's degree, a professional certificate, and one year of MRI experience. Required certifications include ARRT-MR, ARRT, or ARMIT, along with Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association.
