Position Details

Flexible Shifts: Enjoy 12-hour weekday shifts and 8-hour weekend shifts Attractive Incentives: Earn bonuses for perfect attendance, travel to multiple sites, and Employee of the Month recognition

Your Role and Impact

  • Care: Escort patients to examination rooms, take medical histories, and perform vitals

  • Work: Conduct basic lab tests such as urinalysis, blood draws, and

  • Administration: Administer medications under the supervision of a medical provider

  • Support: Greet patients, handle phone calls, verify insurance, and manage appointments

Requirements

Education: Minimum requirement of a high school diploma or equivalent; completion of a certified Medical Assistant program is preferred Current certification as a Medical Assistant Current CPR and First Aid certification

Experience and Qualifications

Proven experience working as a Medical Assistant in a healthcare setting; experience in Urgent Care is preferred Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with staff, patients, and families Willingness to take initiative and responsibility for actions Open to constructive criticism and feedback when necessary Provide exceptional customer service to patients and third-party vendors

Knowledge and Skills

Understanding of medical terminology and electronic medical records (EMR) systems Strong communication and interpersonal skills Excellent attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment Knowledge of medical procedures, equipment, and instruments Ability to work independently or as an active member of a team Competence with common PC applications including Internet, Email, and Microsoft Office. Excellent customer service skills Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Experience with EKGs and Phlebotomy preferred but not required
