JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40 JOB SUMMARY: Provide comprehensive and high-quality healthcare to women including routine obstetric and gynecological procedures, pelvic exams, pap smears breast exams, and monitoring patients throughout their pregnancy as well as providing medical consultation, patient counsel and support.
The scope of services of diagnosing, managing, and treating diseases and issues related to women’s health will include the ambulatory and inpatient settings.
Must be licensed by the Louisiana State board of Medical Examiners to practice medicine. Medical Degree from an ACGME accredited school Current BLS, and ALS certifications through any International Liaison Committee on Resuscitation (ILCOR) provided courses such as but not limited to: Ochsner Health System, American Heart Association, and American Red Cross. The ILCOR course must include a manikin check off (ALS required by specialty only). Board Certification or Eligible for Board Certification Epic experience a plus OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES QUALIFICATIONS: Practice-based learning and improvement Patient care and procedural skills Systems-based practice Appropriate medical knowledge Interpersonal and communication skills Professionalism PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Must possess good physical health. Some requirements include but are not limited to standing, sitting or walking for long periods of time. Lifting at least 20 pounds is required. Must be able to work with a moderate level of noise.
