What you will do as a Registered Nurse in our Inpatient
Provide comprehensive nursing assessments and individualized hospice care for patients in our Inpatient Unit. Deliver skilled nursing care, administer medications and treatments, and manage pain and symptoms according to physician orders and hospice best practices. Monitor patient conditions and respond quickly to changes while ensuring comfort and quality of life. Educate patients and family members about the plan of care while providing emotional support throughout their hospice journey. Accurately document assessments, interventions, medications, and patient care in the electronic health record. Supervise and support Certified Nurse Aides to ensure compassionate, high-quality patient care. Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary team to coordinate individualized care plans. Maintain compliance with infection control, safety standards, and hospice regulations. Participate in on-call and holiday rotations as needed. Help create a calm, compassionate, and comforting environment for patients and families. What we are looking for: Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing program. Current, unrestricted Virginia Registered Nurse (RN) license. Minimum of three (3) years of nursing experience; hospice, home health, community health, medical-surgical, or critical care experience preferred. Experience with electronic medical records (EMR). Current CPR certification. Valid Virginia driver's license and acceptable driving record Schedule: Schedule: PRN opportunities to join our day shift team or our night shift team, 12 hour shifts (7a-7p or 7p-7am) Location: Sheila S.
