Position Summary: This is a combined position for COMMUNITY SUPPORT WORKER – ADULTS & CERTIFIED PEER SPECIALIST

COMMUNITY SUPPORT WORKER – ADULTS - Under supervision, this position provides Comprehensive Community Support Services (CCSS) for adults with significant behavioral health disorders and their families, to improve quality of life and maintain the highest possible ability to function independently within the community.

CERTIFIED PEER SPECIALIST - The Certified Peer Specialist is a current or former consumer of mental health and/or substance abuse services who is able to provide recovery-oriented training, education and support to individuals receiving behavioral health services. Works with individuals and groups, which may include families, providing hope, encouragement, support, self-determination, and connection to the community.

Requirements

Requires a high school diploma with two years of experience, an associate degree with one year, or a related bachelor's degree. Must be a certified Peer Specialist and a current or former consumer of mental health or substance abuse services with three years of demonstrated recovery.
