Position Details

Join Hartford Hospital’s established and advancing Inpatient Procedure Team! This highly specialized role offers Advanced Practice Providers the opportunity to develop and refine their procedure skills within a collaborative, high-acuity medical environment. As an integral member of the Department of Surgery, APPs work closely with surgeons, hospitalists, APPs and multidisciplinary care teams to care for a variety of patients. Team members perform a wide range of bedside ultrasound-guided procedures, including paracentesis, thoracentesis, lumbar punctures, central venous catheter insertions, and fluid collection drainages. Team members also spend time in the outpatient setting seeing consults for soft tissue masses and performing excisions. This position is ideal for motivated Physician Assistants seeking procedural autonomy and ongoing skill advancement.
