About the role

The Enterprise Float RN provides flexible patient care across multiple units and campuses based on their hired tier. Responsibilities include formulating nursing plans of care, implementing interventions, and ensuring patient safety through systematic assessments.

Position Summary

Up to $30K Commitment Incentive The Enterprise Float RN will, based on hiring tier, is to be flexible and float to multiple areas based on level of cares hired into to provide patient care; highest level of care and lower. These requirements include, but not limited to, scheduling the day of staffing, assignments in more than one unit during a single shift, and to float to all designated levels of care and campuses within their tier and ECU Health Regions.

Responsibilities

Assures healing without harm through use of safety habits and error prevention tools, periodic rounding, and engagement in daily safety huddle. Obtains and interprets initial and ongoing systematic patient/family assessment data, incorporating information from other appropriate sources. Uses patient/family assessment data to formulate relevant nursing plan of care. Collaborates with patient/family/significant others(s) and interdisciplinary team members to mutually formulate realistic and measurable outcomes based on clinical presentation and plan of care. Collaborates with the patient/family/significant others (s) and interdisciplinary team members to develop an individualized plan of care which includes learning needs to achieve optimal health and well-being and transition across the continuum. Implements and actions interventions identified in the plan of care with consideration for patients' needs across the life span. Systematically evaluates and documents patient's progress based on expected outcomes and ongoing basis as identified in the patient's plan of care. Minimum Requirements Diploma in Nursing, Associates in Nursing or higher is required. 2 plus years experience in nursing is required. At least one year experience in highest level of care practiced. Current NC RN license or licensure to practice in a participating Nurse Licensure Compact state Health Care Provider is required. Advanced Cardiac Life, and Basic Life Support required. National Stroke Scale Certification, Pediatric Advanced Life Support, and Non-Violent Crisis Intervention required within 12 weeks of hire. Flexibility in scheduling to meet the twenty-four (24) hour needs of the patients. Preferred Requirements Travel experience is preferred. Pay Range Base pay rate range $34.00 - $51.98 Pay Processes Base pay rates for ECU RNs are determined by total years of nursing experience. EFP team members are classified into Tiers depending on their capacity to cover different levels of care within their assigned hospital region. Tier I - 20% above base rate (one level of care): Tier II - 25% above base rate (two levels of care): Tier III - 30% above base rate (three levels of care): Core RNs qualify for shift and weekend differentials (minimum of four hours per differential period required): 1500-2300 $3.50/hour 2300-0700 $5.00/hour Weekend $10.00/hour Education time and Paid Time Off (PTO) are compensated at the base pay rate. Requirements

Requires a Diploma or Associate degree in Nursing, a current NC RN license, and at least 2 years of nursing experience. Mandatory certifications include ACLS and BLS, with others required within 12 weeks of hire.
