Provide overnight support and evidence-based treatment for adults with mental health or substance use disorders in a group living environment. Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of residents while assisting with morning routines and crisis intervention.
Description and Responsibilities Open Sky's Respite Programs are short-term group living environments that provide treatment of intermittent crisis and stabilization for adults who are diagnosed with a mental health and/or substance use disorder.
The goal of the Respite program is to work collaboratively with individuals to develop skills to maintain their independence in the community and live a life that is not defined by their mental illness.
Awake Overnight Counselors support individuals to live as independently as possible, while providing evidence-based treatment and care, within a group living environment.
They provide guidance, support, and perform various levels of activities of daily living.
Through implementing procedures that ensure the health, safety, and well-being of individuals and general cleanliness and safety of the physical site, counselors ensure individuals are living a healthy, productive, and independent life.
Other Key Responsibilities: Utilize crisis intervention or other means to intervene during a crisis situation, following established program and Agency procedures.
Provide support and direction for individuals requiring nighttime assistance.
Assist individuals with all morning routines and implement all plans.
Review and complete all required documentation.
The organization recognizes skills, training and population served in certain programs by offering an additional hourly differential.
This program has an additional .50 per hour differential for the population served.
High School Diploma, GED or equivalent, required. Valid Driver’s License and acceptable driving record, required. Reliability, willingness to learn, and being open to new opportunities.
